Media Artists Ring in the New Year

Meet MAC Registry Artists on State Street, New Year's Eve!
PR Officer Kat Crowner Reports:

The Media Arts Council (M.A.C.) invites you to enjoy the artwork of Media area artists Drew Arata and Bob Deane in the First Keystone Bank Window Gallery, 22 West State Street, Media, (view Google Map). Original sculptures and drawings are on display through mid-January in this accessible site on State Street, with a festive twist for New Year’s Eve.

In honor of Media’s annual New Year’s Eve celebration and Ball Drop, the artists will adorn their exhibit with hats, streamers, and festive decorations and will be present to toast to visitors during the free, outdoor celebration. Live entertainment begins at 11pm, State & Jackson Streets, just across from the First Keystone Bank Window Gallery. (PDF Flyer)

Find Earth & State on Facebook! Arata creates art focused on music and the interactions between musicians and the audience, concentrating on charcoal drawings and sculpture. He is also the owner of Earth and State, and is an active supporter of the Media Arts Council, Media Business Authority and the Media Fair Trade Movement.

Drew Arata & Bob Deane 2009
Deane is recognized for his pottery created from clay from local creeks. His work has been exhibited extensively in local galleries and stores, and he is currently an instructor at the Community Art Center.

The work on display at the First Keystone Window Gallery represents collaboration between the two artists, offering visitors a unique opportunity to appreciate artwork that was inspired and created in the Media community.

The M.A.C. Window Gallery space was made possible by a grant from the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts and the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance, as well as the generosity of the First Keystone Bank.

Find the Media Arts Council on Facebook! The Media Arts Council works to support local artists and integrate a wide range of arts into the life of the entire community of Media, PA. M.A.C. is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization accepting donations from the community that will support our programs. All donations are tax-deductible. For more information about M.A.C. artists, musicians, and events, please visit the official website mediaartscouncil.org.
