Our Blog Has Moved!

We've just launched our renovated M.A.C. website, filled with many exciting new features including a new Artist Registry that allows each artist to enter his or her own information and images into an easily searchable database. You'll also find information about our upcoming events like this year's ICONS photography contest, and past events like the recent Bastille Day celebration.

It's Media's Bastille Day Celebration!

Media's Bastille Day Celebration

2nd Saturday
July 9, 2011
6-10:30 pm

Music, Dance, Theater, Art, Food, Community...
Join us on State Street!
This year, our biggest 2nd Saturday will be better than ever!  Bastille Day is a celebration of French and American independence, and what better way to celebrate than with your friends in friendly downtown Media.

State Street will be closed to traffic so visitors are free to walk or dance in the streets as they experience live music performances, plein air painters, theatrical performances, and hands-on arts activities. Don't miss the reenactment of the Storming of Bastille by the Hedgerow Theater. There will be something for everyone at this free, family-friendly event!

Thanks to our generous sponsors: La Belle Epoque Wine Bistro, La Colombe Torrefaction, Aqua America, and Gallagher, Schoenfeld, Surkin, Chupein & DeMis, P.C.

Leroy Thomas and the Zydeco Roadrunners
Our Main Stage musical performance will have you dancing in the street!

Don't miss renowned Louisiana band, Leroy Thomas and the Zydeco Roadrunners who takes the stage at 8:30. Performing a unique combination of traditional zydeco with their own innovative, funky sound, the band will be an exciting addition to the Bastille Day celebration.

And More...

You'll find an amazing range of attractions this Bastille Day including a Pit Bull show by the SPCA, Fair Trade Awards presentations, dancing lessons right on State Street, tie-dying, facepainting, silk dying, silk screening, many live bands, and outdoor dining!  Join us!

Thank you for your interest in M.A.C. and for your support of the arts in Media, PA.  Please help us spread the word about 2nd Saturday; share this email with your friends!

Sincerely,

Media Arts Council
