Congrats to Our Film Fest Winners!

Thank you to all who attended the Media Film Festival. We’d like to congratulate the winners:

First Place: "The Mushroom Sessions"
Director: Adam Cosco
Studio: American Film Institute (www.themushroomsessions.com)

Second Place: "No Footing"
Director: Michael Licisyn
Studio: Mixed Nuts Productions (www.mixednutsproductions.com)

Third Place: "A Turn of the Blinds"
Director: Mary Beth Rim
Studio: Hamme Productions (www.hammeproductions.com)

The winners received gift certificates from the event sponsor, AlliedPixel.

M.A.C. President Chris Dietrich summarizes the value of this year’s Film Festival: “The Film Festival creates a highly focused event that brings a wide range of people together around film. Regional and local visitors get a chance to see really insightful pieces of art. Directors and actors get a chance to learn about Media and receive feedback on their work. And M.A.C. has an opportunity to raise the bar and provide more to the community. The end result is a larger group of people challenging themselves in the medium and expanding their horizons. Art should always do that. And that's a big part of our goal.”

With that, we’re starting to plan for next year’s Film Fest. Stay tuned…

"An artist should be always be learning new trades, diving head first into the unknown. Moving forward is natural, impeding that movement hinders what your mind is capable of, as well as your hands and body... A true artist, a true lover of art, a true lover of lines, letters, composition, not only within the confines of a "canvas", no matter the shape, but also how you observe, perceive, and relate to what you see in the everyday is what allows for overall progression." -Quote from the artist.
