Call for Entries: Media Film Festival - Deadline November 15, 2010

View all of the details on the

Call for Entries

The Media Arts Council (MAC) of Media, Pennsylvania, held its first Film Festival in February, 2008. Owing to its great success then and in 2009 and 2010, we are continuing it a fourth year. The Call for Entries continues to be directed to local, national and international filmmakers. We have set the date and are now calling for entries from local and other filmmakers.
Respecting the mission of the MAC, Media and Delaware County resident directors, producers and artists will be given a special category of submission. This year the invitation is open in four classifications to other entrants as well.

Films will be accepted in four categories -- Narrative, Documentary, Animation, Experimental, and three lengths -- Feature Length (40 to 90 minutes), Short (5 to 40 minutes) and Short-Short (under 5 minutes).

Each entry will be reviewed and judged by at least three members of the MAC and Film Festival Committee, which includes artists, filmmakers, film enthusiasts, and film critics. The criteria for judging will be a standard evaluation, including the following categories: theme, writing, plot, direction, acting, cinematography and music. (Read More...) This is a local and international competition for filmmakers.

Congratulations to the 2010 winners!

at Iron Hill!

Tuesday, October 26, 2010
5:00-10:00 PM
Have a great dinner now, and support a great Film Fest taking place in March!

Please join us for a Media Film Festival benefit, hosted by Iron Hill Brewery in Media. When you present a special M.A.C. coupon on Tuesday Oct. 26 (any time 5:00-10:00PM), Iron Hill Brewery has agreed to donate 20% of the proceeds to M.A.C. to support our annual Film Festival. This is a great way to enjoy a casual dinner with friends, family (or your favorite starving artist!), and to support the arts in Media.

Please print the coupon, feel free to pass them along to friends, and be sure to bring them with you to Iron Hill. (You can also pick up a coupon at the Media ICONS exhibit this week!)

We look forward to seeing you there!

(Please note that all are invited, and you can attend at any time between 5pm and 10pm.  This is not a private event and does not require registration.  Iron Hill will donate 20% of proceeds from all meals accompanied by this coupon. Coupons will not be distributed at the restaurant--please bring it with you.)
