Annual Art Exhibit for M.A.C. Registered Artists

The Media Arts Council held the fourth annual artists show, This Space 4 Rent and it was a beauty. The quality and variety of artwork offers something for everyone from painting, collage, photography to hand crafted glasswork. This was a very professional group of artists with high quality work on display. Artists are on the Media Arts Council Artist Registry.

Papi Houpt, folk artist, paints whimsical scenes of everyday life such as “Exercise with Kitty” and a cafe scene. His flat simplified shapes create a perfect harmony over the entire surface.

Gail Hartley-Freedman is working in handmade paper (from the recycling bin). Her work has the feel of pastels with texture. She is gifted at creating joyous atmosphere especially her “Sam’s Garden” and “Ocean at Sunrise”.

Photographer Anne Marie Palita uses striking compositions catch the viewer’s eye. She travels extensively and has several charming photographs from her recent trip to Argentina.

Patricia Danzon is a photographer who creates lushes color saturated images. Her work “Poppy Abstract”, a study in red, is as beautiful as an impressionist painting.

Media Real Estate
Zhanna Martin has two ceramic sculptures of “Waiting” and “Despair” that are expressive and fun. [Event photography by Zhanna Martin].


This Space 4 Rent was held at 323 W State Street in Media, PA. The Media Arts Council sponsors This Space 4 Rent with support from Media Real Estate who has donated the space.

You're Invited...


Please join us for our Summer Solstice Party, celebrating the sun and local arts. Saturday, June 19th, in Borough Hall Mansion, 301 N. Jackson St., Media.

This fun evening event will feature live music, a silent auction including original artwork from local artists, a buffet dinner, and wine and beer. All proceeds will support more arts events and activities in Media!

Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door.
